Last year Central Africa Baptist College entered into a partnership with the Prison Chaplaincy Service to build a chapel at the Ndola Remand Prison. This came as a result of a growing relationship with Chaplaincy services among the various branches of service.
With the funds that God provided, Chaplain Zimba and his team have successfully taken the chapel located inside the prison at Ndola Remand to roof level.
Over the next few weeks the roofing should be in place. We are looking forward to seeing this chapel used to preach the gospel to those in prison, and as a counseling center for the Chaplains assigned to this prison.
Once completed, this chapel will be the first of its kind in any prison across the country of Zambia. We pray that other concerned organizations and gospel preaching churches will step forward to help with the construction of chapels at other prisons across the country.
CABC has committed to offering theological education to those serving as Chaplains. We are offering a Chaplaincy Certification Programme and also have a Chaplaincy track as part of our BA in Bible. Please continue to pray for our outreach to the Zambia Police, Zambia Prisons, Zambia Army and Zambia National Service through our work with the Chaplaincy ministries.
Other opportunities to minister with the Chaplain Services included a recent invitation to preach the gospel to over 500 new police recruits at the Kamfinsa Barracks in Kitwe. Pastor Francis Kaunda shared with the recruits from Acts 17 on the subject of Who God Is. Several responded to the gospel. Please pray for these opportunities for gospel outreach.
