Foundations for a Biblical Worldview

All male pastors and church leaders are invited to CABC’s campus from 15-19 July 2019 to attend the next church leadership training block class.

We will be continuing our Local Church series began last year by Dr. Bobby Jamieson with our next class entitled: "Membership and Discipline in the Local Church." It will be taught by Jonathan Leeman, the editorial director for 9Marks. He lives with his wife and four daughters in Washington DC, and serves as an elder at Cheverly Baptist Church. He also teaches for a number of seminaries, including The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Reformed Theological Seminary.

Biblical Influence

In "Membership and Discipline in the Local Church,” Pastor Jonathan Leeman will dig deeper into the two specific local church concerns of church membership and church discipline. Is local church membership biblically necessary? Who is eligible to join a church? How should membership be practiced? and what responsibilities come with it? What should happen to those members whose lives are not reflecting godly Christian witness?

In seeking to apply these biblical truths to our local context, Pastor Jonathan Leeman will be assisted by Pastor Choolwe Mweetwa. Pastor Choolwe serves as Pastor of Chingola Central Reformed Baptist Church, in Chingola, Zambia.
